30/03/2008    First Project Meeting - Paris
paris The first meeting of the project partners took place in November 2007. The meeting was hosted by the Region Ile De France in Paris. Each partner presented an overview of their local transport situation, copies of the presentations can be viewed through the partner pages.

An exciting development at the meeting was the development of a joint action with the International Transport Forum. The COMMERCE project partners were joined at the meeting by Mary Crass from the ITF, it was agreed that COMMERCE will work in partnership with the ITF to launch and run an award for a company mobility plan. The award will be presented at the ITF forum in May 2008 and will be recognised at ECOMM 08 in June in London.

Other key tasks that were agreed were:
• Research into best practice in mobility planning to be coordinated by RATB and EPOMM
• Development of a European Standard for mobility plans to be coordinated by RATB
• The next meeting of the COMMERCE project will take place in London in June 08 to coincide with the ECOMM 08 event.
