The winners of the first edition of the PEWTA award were announced during the gala night at ECOMM 2008. The first edition of the Pan European Workplace Mobility Plan Awards was launched this year by EPOMM within the framework of the COMMERCE project.

The competition was open to two different types of applicants: Employers who have established successful mobility plans in their organisation and Public Authorities which are promoting the set up of workplace mobility plans within their territory.

This year the "Employers" award was hosted by the COMMERCE project in conjunction with the International Transport Forum.

The winner of the Employers category is ST Microelectronics Grenoble. The three shortlisted candidates are: Stansted Airport, Inficon AG and the London Borough of Lambeth.

The winner of the Public Authorities category is Grenoble Alpes Metropole. The three shortlisted candidates are: the Brussels region, the City of Zurig and West Trans.

Applications for the next round of applications will be published in October 2008. There will be an additional award this year for Area Based Mobility Plans.
